22 artisti interpretano gli Arcani dei Tarocchi

Dal Rinascimento il poi la tradizione dei Tarocchi e la sua rappresentazione ad opera degli artisti a partire da Michelangelo Buonarrotti,Raffaello Sanzio e tantissimi altri sino ai nostri giorni è tale che il tentativo americano riesce soltanto là dove fosse possibile ad allacciare le scarpe agli artisti e agli illustratori europei,purtroppo una certa conoscenza classica,filosofica,ermetica ed esoterica quale quella sepolta nell'inconscio collettivo degli artisti europei è per loro irragiungibile.

Una eccezzione forse in questo giudizio drastico la posso fare per Kriss Kuksi...già molto pubblicato in questo blog.

Tuttavia il tentativo è lodevole e alcune di queste opere sanno suggerirci momenti di profondità anche se un po distanti dal senso delle carte,dai suoi più intimi significati.

Curator and artist Aunia Kahn has found her fortune and put together a most impressive and awe-inspiring show to debut soon at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Calling upon 23 artists to each interpret one of the 22 major arcana cards (and the back) found in a deck of tarot (this is after receiving 1,000 submissions by the way), The LowBrow Tarot Project has finally been completed and Hi-Fructose is honored to give a first-look at each of the works in the deck. With a star-studded lineup including Kris Kuksi (HF Vol. 13), Laurie Lipton, Chris Mars (HF Vol. 7) Chet Zar (HF Vol. 11), Jennybird Alcantara (HF Vol. 14), Dani Shinya Luo, and many, many more the LowBrow Tarot Project will debut October 1st with a subsequent book and card deck release.
